John D. Piho, PE, has over 25 years of experience in refrigeration system design and application for systems ranging from 5TR to 12,000TR of refrigeration and secondary refrigerants including water, brine, glycols and air for a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, chemical, dairy, food storage, food processing, equipment design, HVAC, test facilities, and shipboard equipment. 

Prior to forming Piho Engineering, Mr. Piho worked at St. Onge, Ruff & Associates as the Director of Refrigeration Engineering where he had responsibility for a group that designed industrial refrigeration systems.  He has been involved with OSHA Process Safety Management and EPA Risk Management Programs for over 10 years.  John has also authored several papers on Freezing Systems, Floor Warming of Refrigerated Facilities, History of Ammonia Refrigeration and Overview of PSM.
